  • RULES

    All campers must consent to these rules by signing in the appropriate place on the registration form.


    No one may leave camp without permission from the camp Director.


    Flint Hills is a fine campground; we keep it clean, neat, attractive, and always Christian.


    Hiking is permitted only in groups that have a staff member in charge.


    Do not bring these items: cell phones (see note below), MP3 players or iPods, musical instruments, tobacco, alcohol, matches, fireworks, knives, firearms, radios, CD or tape players, any electronic games, or water canons.


    Profane, vulgar and unbecoming language and actions will not be tolerated.


    All clothing must be worn to the knees. This includes jams, shorts, dresses, etc. No spandex, sun dresses or see-through shirts. All clothing must cover the midriff and armpits! Check slogans and advertisements on shirts to make sure they are of a Christian nature. There will be no tolerance of unacceptable attire.


    Camp life is group-centered. There must not be any display of affection between campers. There will be no splitting off from the main group.


    Absolutely NO HORSEPLAY! None will be tolerated. No pushing or shoving others.


    Boys and girls are to stay away from opposite cabins.


    Stay away from the pool area unless it is your turn to swim.


    No campers in the dining hall unless staff authorized. The kitchen is off limits to campers!


    Do not borrow anything without the permission of the owner. You break, you pay.


    Report lost items, and turn in found items to the director immediately.


    Each cabin will be inspected for cleanliness and orderliness each day.


    Rest hour must be observed. Be on your bunk resting, studying or reading.


    Lights must be out as scheduled and QUIET! Campers must stay in cabins after lights out.


    Campers must stay away from parked cars.


    No use of the telephone without permission from the Camp Director.


    No visitors may spend the night on Friday night.


    Further guidelines will be provided by the Director upon arrival at camp.

    Bible, Notebook, Pens and pencils, Envelopes, Stamps


    Flashlight, Insect repellent, Fan and extension cord, Ball glove


    Pillows, Sheets, Light blanket, Towels, Washrags

    Deodorant, Toothbrush and paste, Soap, Shampoo


    Hat, Swim suit, Swim suit cover, Play clothes for each day, Nice casual clothes for each day (jeans and nice shirt), Bed clothes, Tennis  shoes, Shower shoes or flip flops. See rules for guidelines about acceptable clothing.


    A sack meal for Sunday evening



    WHAT NOT TO BRING


    Cell Phone

    MP3 player, IPod, CD player, tape player, radio, etc.

    Musical instruments

    Tobacco, Alcohol, or Drugs

    Anything that burns/explodes, such as fireworks, firearms, and matches

    Electronic games of any kind

    Water canons


    If in doubt, keep it out.


  • NOTES TO PARENTS

    INFO FOR PARENTS

     

    Each camper has the personal attention of a counselor (6-8 per counselor).

    There are complete medical facilities available in Sedan, just 4 miles from camp.

    All of our staff, counselors, and Bible teachers are members of the church of Christ.


    No camper is allowed to leave campgrounds without the session Director's permission. If your child must leave camp for any reason, please notify the Director as soon as you know (upon arrival at camp if it is a scheduled activity such as a sporting event). If your child must leave, upon return to camp he or she must check in with the Director. Please return campers between 7am and 10pm.


    Visitors are welcome! Come see the camp and our activities. Join us for worship in the evening (check with session Directors for times and locations).

    NOTICE: No visitor may spend the night on Friday night. All visitors are subject to all camp rules, just as if they were campers.


    Registration begins at 3pm on the first day of camp (Sunday). Please do not arrive before 3pm.


    Camp ends mid-morning on the last day of camp (Saturday). Please pick up your child by 10am. (If you must be later, make arrangements with the Director.)


    Your child would love to receive letters while he or she is at camp!
